There isn’t many restaurants who can cook catfish just right but, Sandra’s is one those places. And my grandmother is a fiesty 95 years old and she just loves their smothered chicken wings.

I got a fried fish lunch that came with 2 sides (mac ‘n’ cheese & yams for me!) and a drink for $8.00 and then ordered an extra side of potato salad, and 2 desserts — banana pudding and sweet potato pudding…. NO, I do not normally eat like this but there’s something about soul food that made my eyes way bigger than my stomach.

We went here because we got a $20 Yelp deal for $10. This place is awesome. Sandra, the owner, took care of us. We had the church platter. The sweet potatoes and the turkey with bbq sauce was great. It is off the beaten path but it's worth it.

I just made it here for the first time and boy was it good! Amazing soul food (got the church platter with BBQ chopped turkey, corn bread, corn, black-eyed peas, sweet potatoes, and green beans--big enough to share with at least one other person)! The best soul food around and, remarkably, both delicious and not greasy. On top of the amazing food I had a chance to talk to Sandra for a bit. She's extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Can't wait to go back and bring more people!
